The scholarship needed a venture proposal and closed six weeks before the normal deadline. I would have missed it entirely.
The journey
How it unfolded

Chapter 01
The goal
Tomas had been running a small software venture in Belgrade for two years and wanted a structured entrepreneurship programme with incubator support, rather than a general management degree.
-
Chapter 02
The challenges
The strongest scholarship required a separate venture proposal and closed six weeks before the standard admission deadline — a detail buried on a secondary page of the school's site.
The motivation letter was also a problem. The first draft described the venture in detail but never explained what the programme itself would add.

Chapter 03
How we supported
We identified the entrepreneurship scholarship deadline at the start of the process and treated it as the real deadline, which changed the whole timeline.
We worked through the venture proposal across four drafts, tightening it from a product description into a case for what the next eighteen months would require and where the programme fitted into that.
We restructured the motivation letter around the same question, which is the one selection panels are actually reading for.

Chapter 04
The admission journey
The scholarship application and venture proposal were submitted in early March, ahead of the mid-March close. The admission application followed in April.
The offer and a 30% entrepreneurship scholarship were confirmed together in May. The student visa was applied for in June and issued in August, and Tomas arrived in Barcelona in early September.

Chapter 05
The outcome
Tomas completed the MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme in 2025 with a 30% scholarship, and the venture is continuing with support from the school's incubator.
